It Seems Like Everyone Is Pregnant Except Me is from my 2019 self-portraiture series called Ulterior Monologue. I made the project when I wanted to get pregnant, but felt unable to talk about it due to worrying that I would be overlooked for work or upset people. Each image in the series is accompanied by hashtags that form a diary entry. This picture and its text comes closest to talking about what I really wanted to say, but I still downplayed it. The project came to a natural end when I found out I was pregnant and started a new self-portraiture series, Waiting For Things In A Time When You Rarely Wait For Things.
