Shot in Karlsruhe/Germany. Tim lost his left arm about five years ago in an accident with a suburban train. With the help of technology, he is able to live a largely normal life: among other things, he can drive a car and he also rides a mountain bike. Tim’s bionic prosthesis has six integrated motors and thus achieves a range of functions that is unique in prosthetics. The skin tensions arising during the movement of muscles are measured and converted into control signals for the individual motors by a microprocessor. To adjust to his new life and make all of this work was a period of massive personal growth for Tim.
